How to Convert CS2 Sensitivity to Valorant

Move your CS2 sensitivity to Valorant without losing muscle memory: the 3.18 factor, the cm/360 check and numbers from 651 pro profiles.

You move from CS2 to Valorant and the first thing that falls apart is your aim. It is not you: the engines measure sensitivity differently, so the same number in the settings produces a completely different turn speed. Short answer: divide your CS2 sensitivity by 3.18 and leave DPI alone. Below we unpack where that number comes from, how to verify the result in centimetres per 360, and what the people who play for money actually run.

What you carry over: speed, not the number

Every game has a yaw value — how many degrees the camera turns per mouse count. In CS2 it is 0.022, in Valorant 0.07. That is the whole story: the same speed needs different sensitivity numbers, and the ratio between them is constant — 0.07 ÷ 0.022 = 3.18.

The metric that proves it is cm/360 — how far the mouse travels for one full turn:

cm/360 = 360 ÷ (yaw × sensitivity) ÷ DPI × 2.54

If cm/360 matches in both games after the conversion, your muscle memory is intact and there is nothing left to tweak.

Step 1. Get your CS2 numbers

You need two: in-game sensitivity and mouse DPI. Sensitivity is in the CS2 settings or via the sensitivity console command. DPI lives in your mouse software (Logitech G HUB, Razer Synapse and so on); if you have never touched it, it is almost certainly 800.

The sensitivity value alone means nothing: 2.0 at 400 DPI and 1.0 at 800 DPI are the same speed. From here on we work with the pair, sensitivity × DPI.

Step 2. Divide by 3.18

The conversion is one line:

Valorant sensitivity = CS2 sensitivity ÷ 3.18

So 2.0 in CS2 becomes 0.63 in Valorant, 1.2 → 0.377, 0.8 → 0.251. Leave DPI alone — only the in-game number changes.

Step 3. Check cm/360, then check in game

Open the sensitivity and DPI calculator and compare cm/360 for both games: the numbers should match to within a tenth. If they do not, either the DPI or the sensitivity you typed is wrong.

Then test by hand. On the range, put your crosshair on the edge of a target and make your usual small correction flick. If your hand overshoots, run the numbers again instead of nudging the slider — a sensitivity tuned by feel destroys exactly what the conversion protected. Step 4. What else to set after the move

Valorant has a separate aim-down-sights (ADS) sensitivity multiplier. In our database of 651 pros almost nobody touches it: 496 players keep it at 1.0, the rest sit in a narrow 0.8–1.1 band. Set 1.0 and forget it.

Leave Windows pointer speed at default too: 589 of 651 profiles run the standard sixth notch. Anything else adds scaling that makes your cm/360 maths stop matching reality.

That is the best proof that pros do not re-pick a sensitivity per game; they keep one physical speed. Should I change DPI when switching?

No. DPI is a property of the mouse, not the game. Only the in-game sensitivity converts; keep the same DPI or you will change both the speed and how the cursor feels in menus.

Because Valorant's yaw is three times larger: one sensitivity unit turns the camera 0.07 degrees against 0.022 in CS2. A median of 0.27 in Valorant is roughly the same speed as 0.86 in CS2.

What if the aim still feels wrong after converting?

Check cm/360 in both games and the ADS multiplier (should be 1.0), then give yourself a week. Most of the strangeness comes from a different recoil model and movement speed, not from the sensitivity.
