Valorant Patch 13.06: the Warden Rifle and Agent Mastery

The biggest patch of the year: a 2900-credit rifle with no damage falloff, Agent Mastery resetting everyone's progress, and Performance Score replacing ACS.
Patch 13.06 landed on September 22, 2026, and Riot calls it the biggest one in years. It brings a new rifle called the Warden, replaces Agent Gear with Agent Mastery, adds the Gauntlet: Glitched mode and swaps the familiar ACS for Performance Score. Here is what actually changes your games, and what only changes your profile.
The Warden: a third rifle at 2900
The Warden joins the Vandal and the Phantom in the 2900 credits tier, presented as a distinctly long-range option. Straight from the patch notes:
| Spec | Value |
|---|---|
| Price | 2900 credits |
| Scope | 2x magnification |
| Magazine | 18 rounds, 36 in reserve |
| Body damage | 50 at all ranges |
| Headshot | 200 |
| Leg | 42 |
| Fire rate | 6.5 |
| Reload | 2.5 seconds |
| Wall penetration | medium |
The line that matters is the damage one: 50 to the body at all ranges, with no falloff. The rifle hits the same in someone's face and across the map, and the 2x scope makes long trades its home ground. The cost is the magazine. Eighteen rounds do not forgive spraying, and they run out fast when a third enemy walks into the same angle.
Riot published no side-by-side numbers against the Vandal and Phantom, but the intent reads clearly from the description: this is for players who hold long angles and do not want to spend 4700 on an Operator.
Agent Mastery: everyone starts from zero
Agent Gear is gone, replaced by Agent Mastery, and this is not a rename. Every agent now carries their own levels, their own reward track and their own Agent ID. Play Clove and you progress Clove, play Sova and you progress Sova.
There are two kinds of level. Act Levels track the current act and reset when the next one starts, Lifetime Levels accumulate permanently. Both run on Mastery Points, earned by playing matches on that agent, with bonuses for wins and strong performances. One Act Level always moves the Lifetime Level with it.
Each agent has ten main Act Levels. Levels four, seven and ten unlock portrait accents, and past level ten you keep going through Overleveling until the act ends.
The unwelcome part: everybody starts at zero. Riot states outright that previous agent playtime does not carry over, framing it as putting everyone on a level playing field. Gear you already unlocked stays yours.
Performance Score replaces ACS
Average Combat Score is out. Performance Score is a 0 to 500 figure that counts more than damage and kills, and the end-of-game screen now shows what fed into it and how far you were from a masterful game.
It runs in Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay and Premier, and MVP plus scoreboard position are decided by it in those modes. The number everybody argues about after a match is now calculated differently, so expect the arguing to continue.
Alongside it came Accolades, which track standout results such as how many MVPs you took this act or your best game by kills.
Gauntlet: Glitched, and Retake leaves
The new limited-time mode is Gauntlet: Glitched. Riot deliberately leaves part of it undocumented, but the gist is that the usual rules break down: after dying you can stay and watch the remaining fights, shoot at targets, or hop around the arena. Retake rotates out at the same time.
Anti-cheat: 90,000 bans in two months
The same notes carry a report on the anti-boosting system: 1600 accounts a day, more than 90,000 since July 20. That is aimed at boosters and smurfs, the people who wreck ranked matchmaking, rather than at cheaters in the classic sense.
Voice moderation widened too. The system that reviews voice comms now handles Spanish, Portuguese and Korean.
Frequently asked questions
Do I lose the rewards I unlocked in Agent Gear?
No, unlocked rewards stay. What resets is progression: levels start again, because hours played before the patch do not transfer into the new system.
Why take the Warden over a Vandal or Phantom?
Distance. The Warden deals 50 to the body at any range and comes with a 2x scope, so it keeps its power on long angles. The trade-off is eighteen rounds in the magazine.
What happened to my ACS?
Performance Score took its place, on a 0 to 500 scale. It weighs more factors, and MVP and scoreboard order in Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay and Premier now follow it.
