On July 22, 2026, Team Liquid officially announced the signing of South African in-game leader Ioannis "Johnny" "JT" Theodosiou. A day earlier the club benched Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek, who had led the team for more than a year. Liquid's summer rebuild, which began with a sniper swap, is now complete — capped by a change of captain.
Why siuhy was benched

Ioannis "JT" Theodosiou is a captain from South Africa, best known for his years in Complexity, where his partnership with EliGE produced the team's best stretch of the early CS2 era. Now the duo reunites in Liquid. JT's most recent team was Passion UA, from which he makes the move.
