Team Spirit won the Esports World Cup 2026 CS2 event, beating FUT Esports 3:1 in the final; donk was named MVP. Both finalists, the upsets and the bracket.
Team Spirit are the CS2 champions of the Esports World Cup 2026. In the grand final on 23 August in Paris they beat FUT Esports 3:1 in a best-of-5, taking the trophy and $600,000 of the $2,000,000 total prize pool. The final: Team Spirit 3:1 FUT Esports
Spirit took the longest road of the event: they lost their opening group match to JiJieHao 10:13, then cleared the Group A lower bracket (2:0 over Luminosity, 2:1 over BIG), and in the playoffs dropped no maps to B8 (2:0) and Legacy (2:0) while knocking out Vitality 2:1 in the quarterfinal. FUT, by contrast, had not lost a playoff series before the final: magic 2:1, MOUZ 2:0, FURIA 2:1 — and only fell in the decider.
The maps: FUT took Cache 13:10, then Spirit won three in a row — Anubis 16:13 in overtime, Ancient 16:14 in overtime and Nuke 13:5.

Who went out early
- Natus Vincere — 0:2 to Legacy already in the round of 16, despite winning Group D through the upper bracket (13:9 over 3DMAX, 2:1 over The MongolZ).
- FaZe — 0:2 to Vitality in the round of 16; in Group B FaZe went through the upper bracket past BetBoom 13:11 and Legacy 2:0.
- Vitality — 1:2 to Spirit in the quarterfinal. In Group C Vitality lost 1:2 to B8 and had to come through the lower bracket.
- Falcons — 0:2 to Legacy in the quarterfinal after a confident group (13:6 over K27, 2:0 over Astralis) and a 2:0 over The MongolZ in the round of 16.
- G2 — 1:2 to FURIA in the quarterfinal.
Legacy were the bracket's biggest surprise: the Brazilians knocked out NAVI and Falcons and reached the semifinal, where they lost 0:2 to Spirit. They still left with bronze: Legacy beat FURIA 2:1 in the third-place match.

The group stage ran as four double-elimination brackets. From the upper brackets, GamerLegion and G2 (Group A), Falcons and FaZe (B), B8 and FUT (C), Natus Vincere and FURIA (D) advanced.
