CS2 Roster Moves: Luminosity, MIBR and EF

The week after the Esports World Cup brought five roster stories from teams in HLTV's database. The headlines: yxngstxr left HEROIC and signed with Luminosity in place of the benched Bymas, MIBR moved brnz4n to the bench after four years, Eternal Fire signed soulfly and made jottAAA's loan permanent, and BC.Game finally parted ways with aNdu. Below: who went where, what is official and what is still only media reporting.

Luminosity: Bymas benched, yxngstxr in, kakafu as coach

On 24 August Luminosity benched Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras after two straight last-place finishes — XSE Pro League in Guangzhou and the EWC — with a roster assembled in July around the former Monte core. On 25 August the club signed Simon "yxngstxr" Boije from HEROIC in his place, while Alexander "kakafu" Szymanczyk moved from Monte to Luminosity as coach. The lineup is now Rainwaker, afro, lux (IGL), AZUWU, yxngstxr; the debut comes at Roman Imperium Cup VIII on 10–13 September.

HEROIC: yxngstxr leaves, the five stay

For HEROIC, yxngstxr's departure on 24 August changes nothing in the starting five: he had stepped out of the lineup on 7 July and sat in reserve since. The active roster is nilo, susp, Chr1zN, MartinezSa and Brollan, coached by doto. His settings profile: yxngstxr.

MIBR: brnz4n benched, tomaszin not yet official

On 25 August MIBR benched Breno "brnz4n" Poletto after four years with the team. No replacement has been announced. Dust2 reported on 22 August that MIBR were preparing to sign Tomas "tomaszin" Corna from BESTIA, and on 25 August BESTIA themselves said goodbye to the player, naming MIBR as his next stop. Until MIBR announce it, the active roster is four players: insani, LNZ, venomzera, nqz; coach LETN1.

Eternal Fire: soulfly and jottAAA, br0 to the bench

On 23 August Eternal Fire signed Caner "soulfly" Kesici from Aurora, where he had been in reserve since July after half a year in the lineup, and made permanent the loan of Samet "jottAAA" Köklü, who had returned to EF from the same Aurora in February. The spot was freed by Alexander "br0" Bro — the Dane was benched after eight matches for the organisation. The final five: soulfly, jottAAA, MisteM, regali, Kvem; coach yT.

BC.Game: aNdu released

On 25 August BC.Game parted ways with Andreas "aNdu" Maasing. It does not affect the active five: aNdu had been in reserve since January, after the former SAW core arrived, went on loan to ALGO and returned to the bench when that roster fell apart. s1mple and electroNic remain in the club's lineup.

• The CS2 update of 24 August (version 1.41.7.7) is mapper tooling only: the custom_hud_layout and cs_player_camera entities, an extended scripting API and a new version of the cs_script zoo example. Gameplay is untouched.
• Below the top 30: bright moved from F5 to Villainous, cLd from UNO MILLE to RUSH, and CYBERSHOKE signed nota and H4SAN4TOR.

Where did yxngstxr go?

To Luminosity: he was signed on 25 August 2026 in place of Bymas, benched the day before. He left HEROIC on 24 August after sitting in reserve since July.

Who replaces brnz4n at MIBR?

Officially nobody yet: MIBR have not announced a replacement. Media reports and BESTIA's farewell post point to tomaszin, but there is no club announcement.

Who plays for Eternal Fire now?
