CS2 Crosshair Codes: 885 Pros Decoded

Our CS2 settings database holds the crosshair share codes of 885 professionals. We ran them through our own decoder, the same one that renders previews on the site, and all 885 parsed. The short answer: the CS2 pro crosshair is even more uniform than Valorant's. 98% run the classic static style, the median crosshair is size 1, thickness 1, gap −4; only 9% use a center dot and 13% an outline. Below are the numbers, the most-shared code in the base and the crosshairs of donk, ZywOo, NiKo, s1mple and m0NESY.

What CS2 pro crosshairs have in common

The runner-up values are narrow too: size 2 for 15%, thickness 0 for 25%, gap −3 for 24%. Dynamic styles (2 and 5) add up to 17 people across the whole base. In short, the CS2 pro crosshair is a small, thin, static cross without a dot, and there is little left to argue about.

The most-shared code in the base

Eight players out of 885 use the same share code, the biggest overlap in the database:

Decoded: style 4, size 1, thickness 1, gap −4, cyan, no dot, no outline. It is essentially the base's median crosshair packed into one code. Among its users are s1mple, KSCERATO and kyxsan. The second most common code differs only by colour (custom), the third is m0NESY's code, repeated by five more players.

Colour: every third pro goes custom

The preset colours split the base like this: green 31%, cyan 25%, yellow 7%, red and blue one player each. But the largest group is custom colour at 37% (328 players), and its leaders are the expected ones: pure white (255,255,255) for 65 players, cyan (0,255,255) for 61, pure green (0,255,0) for 51. Another 12 play with a black crosshair: rare in CS2, while in Valorant there were 29 of 532.

The last column reads size / thickness / gap. Note Twistzz: a −7 gap at size 1 gives an almost merged cross, the tightest crosshair in the table. And jL is one of the 79 players in the base with a center dot. A live preview of every code is on the CS2 pro crosshairs page.

How to import a crosshair code in CS2

1. Copy the code in full, including the CSGO- prefix. The share format has not changed since CS:GO, so the old prefix stayed even though the game did not.
2. In game, open Settings → Game → Crosshair and press "Share or Import".
3. Paste the code and confirm. It applies instantly, no restart needed, and nothing outside the crosshair is touched.

CS2 vs Valorant: where the crosshairs differ

We already decoded 532 Valorant codes with the same method, and the gap between the games shows in two parameters. A center dot is used by 40% of Valorant pros and by 9% in CS2. Outlines are on for 53% in Valorant and 13% in CS2. The explanation is simple: in CS2 the crosshair almost always sits on dark textures, where a thin coloured cross reads fine without an outline, while Valorant maps are brighter and a dot with an outline keeps the crosshair from vanishing into the background.

Frequently asked questions

Why do CS2 crosshair codes start with CSGO-?

Because the share format never changed. CS2 kept the byte layout CS:GO used, so a code generated years ago still imports today, and the old prefix travelled with it. Valve has not explained the choice anywhere; the format simply carried over.

Does importing a code change any of my other settings?

No. A share code carries crosshair parameters and nothing else, so the rest of your config is safe. One thing worth knowing: Follow Recoil is stored inside the code, so importing someone else’s crosshair can quietly switch that option on or off for you.

What does a negative gap mean?

Gap sets the distance between the centre and the start of each line. At 0 the lines begin right at the centre, and a negative value pulls them inward, so the cross tightens and almost merges. That is why the pro median sits at −4: a compact cross covers less of the target at range.

Does anyone play with a T-style crosshair?

Exactly one player in our base: VINI of Imperial. T-style drops the top line, leaving a T shape that keeps the area above the point of aim clear. Everyone else stays with the full cross.

Counted from our own settings database: 885 share codes out of 892 CS2 profiles, snapshot of 23 August 2026. Codes were parsed by our own share-code decoder (the same one that renders previews on the site); all 885 parsed. The base is refreshed by our parser daily.
